Dental Therapist

Our resident dental therapist has both clinical and health promotional responsibilities. She can help to treat and prevent gum disease by scaling and polishing teeth and/or providing more extended services such as full mouth detoxification. She can also can take dental radiographs and undertake monitoring and screening procedures.

Therapists can also treat the dentition with simple fillings in both adults and children. For children they may place preformed crowns and carry out pulp treatments on baby or milk teeth.

Dental hygienists and therapists are also permitted to apply topical fluorides and fissure sealants in order to reduce tooth decay.

Due to specialist management training our therapist treats and manages anxious patients, children and some special needs patients

Our therapist is also available to provide dental whitening. You can ask about this at your consultation with the  dentist or therapist.
